Currently,
premises registration in Wyoming is voluntary and free of charge. The
information producers and non-producers provide will be kept
confidential and will only be accessed by animal health officials for
disease trace back and animal health surveillance purposes.
STEP 1 – Determine if you are a Producer or Non-Producer
Participant. There are separate applications for both.
Livestock producers
should fill out the livestock premises application while
the non-producers should use the non-producer’s form. Producers are livestock owners while non-producers
operate facilities where livestock are housed on a
temporary basis for the purposes of sale, show, care, or movement.
Examples would include livestock markets, veterinary clinics, quarantine
facilities, fair or exhibition facilities.
STEP 2 – Print-out the appropriate application form (either the Livestock Premises Application or Non-Producer’s Premises Application).
STEP 3 – The first two pages of both applications will require you to fill in primary owner’s contact information, property’s legal description, type of business, species contained within premises, and secondary contact information. The non-producer’s form has additional information pertaining to the facility type and legal description on the third page. The producer application consists of two pages while the non-producer form is three pages.
STEP 4 – After completing the appropriate form, mail the application to address listed on the second page. Be sure that you have filled in all the required information. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk mark placed beside the field. Please allot four to eight weeks for a delivery of a premises identification number.
